Special Meeting Minutes - August 2, 2024

     City of Ellinger Minutes from the meeting of the City of Ellinger held on August 29, 2024.

            Attendance:                Mayor Matt Mikulenka

                                                Commissioner Kenny Stojanik

                                                Commissioner Cullen Weishuhn

            1 visitor was in attendance.

1.      Meeting was called to order by Mayor Mikulenka at 6:00 pm at the City of Ellinger City Hall.

2.      Pledge of Allegiance was recited to the United States Flag and to the Texas Flag.

3.      Invocation was presented by Mayor Mikulenka.

4.      Public Comment.

Margaret Hardin from Grant Works Inc. came in to talk about the new TDA grant opportunity for the Texas Community Development Grant Program for 2025/2025 Community Development Fund.

5.      NEW Business:

a.       Consider and approve authorization to issue requests for proposal for administrative services (RFP) and requests for qualifications for engineering services (RFQ) for grant pre-application (Phase I), application (Phase II), and implementation services for Texas Community Development Grant Program for 2025/2026 Community Development Fund (and all eligible activities per the application guidance) as administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Motion was made by Mayor Matt Mikulenka to authorize the issuance of said RFP and said RFQ. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Weishuhn.

b.      Discuss consider, and adopt resolution designating a disaster recovery management service provider to complete application and project implementation for the Federal Emergency Management  Agency (FEMA)"  Public Assistance (PA)/Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) funding administered by the Federal Emergen`cy Management Agency, Texas Division of Emergency Management and/or Texas Water Development Board.  Motion was made by Mayor Matt Mikulenka to adopt resolution mentioned above. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Weishuhn.

c.       Motion by Mayor Mikulenka to adjourn, 2nd by Kenny Stojanik, motion carried.
