City of Ellinger Minutes from the special meeting of the City of Ellinger held on May 8, 2026.
Attendance: Mayor Matt Mikulenka
Commissioner Cullen Weishuhn
Commissioner Kenny Stojanik
0 citizens were in attendance.
1. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Matt Mikulenka at 4:00 pm at the City of Ellinger City Hall.
2. Public Comment: No Public Comment
3. NEW Business:
a. Mayor Mikulenka made an addendum to the agenda to discuss authorizing the City of Ellinger to sign all documents pertaining to the CDBG-MIT MOD GLO Contract No 24-065-130-E988.
b. Mayor Mikulenka then made a motion to authorize the City of Ellinger to sign all documents pertaining to the CDBG-MIT MOD GLO Contract No 24-065-130-E988. Motion was 2nd by Kenny Stojanik.
c. The votes and results from the May 2nd election were presented. It was noted that Proposition 1 which was for the adoption of a local sale and use tax in the City of Ellinger at the rate of one and one-half percent (1.5%) passed. There were forty-six (46) votes casts in favor for Proposition 1 and twenty-two (22) votes casts not in favor. The proposition won by a margin of twenty-four (24) votes. Commissioner Weishuhn made a motion to accept all the votes and results from the May 2nd election. Motion was 2nd by Commissioner Stojanik.
d. Four (4) RFQ’s for engineering services were reviewed by the City on behalf of the Ellinger Sewer and Water Corporation for the water infrastructure improvement project proposed to be fund for the Texas Water Development Board. Mayor Mikulenka made a motion for the City of Ellinger to assign Weishuhn Engineering, Inc as the engineer for the upcoming Texas Water Development Board on behalf of the Ellinger Sewer and Water Corporation. Motion was 2nd by Kenny Stojanik.
e. Motion was made by Matt Mikulenka adjourn the meeting. Motion was 2nd by Cullen Weishuhn.
