City of Ellinger Minutes from the meeting of the City of Ellinger held on March 23rd, 2023.

1. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Mikulenka at 6:00pm at the City of Ellinger City Hall.
2. Pledge of Allegiance was recited to the United States Flag and to the Texas Flag.
3. Invocation was presented by Mayor Mikulenka.
4. No Public comment. Motion by Matt Mikulenka to close public comment, 2nd by Kenneth Stojanik, motion carried.
5. Minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed. Motion by Matt Mikulenka to accept minutes, 2nd by Kenneth Stojanik, motion carried.
6. Treasures report was given. Motion by Joseph Lamer to accept report and to pay all bills, 2nd by Matt Mikulenka, motion carried.
7. Old Business:
a. Motion by Matt Mikulenka to approve Resolution #24- Canceling the May 6th City election, 2nd by Kenneth Stojanik, motion carried.
b. Motion by Matt Mikulenka to cancel purchase of concrete barriers due to weight and cost, 2nd by Kenneth Stojanik, motion carried.
c. Ordinance 2023-02 that will govern all aspects of trailer homes within the City limit of Ellinger, Texas. Motion by Matt Mikulenka to adopt ordinance, 2nd by Kenneth Stojanik, motion carried.
8. NEW Business:
a. Discuss the agreement between Ellinger Sewer and Water and the City of Ellinger that will allow the City to aid the Citizens of Ellinger with the help of Ellinger and Water as the City applies of CDBG grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture. Copy entered into the minutes.
b. Motion by Matt Mikulenka to purchase a new laptop computer to replace the outdate one which we received from the county, 2nd by Kenneth Stojanik, motion carried.
c. Discussion held on need for NO THRU TRUCKS signage within the City limits. Motion by Matt Mikulenka to purchase 6 signs, 2nd by Kenneth Stojanik, motion carried.
d. Discussion held on Resolution 25 concerning responsibility for upkeep of driveways and entrances. Motion by Joseph Lamer to accept Resolution 25, 2nd by Matt Mikulenka, motion carried.
e. Motion by Joseph Lamer to post agenda for meetings at the City Hall building bulletin board and on the web site, 2nd by Kenneth Stojanik, motion carried.
9. Set next meeting date and location: April 27th, 2023 at the Ellinger City Hall building on 101 W. Shumacher St., Ellinger, Texas.
10. Motion by Joseph Lamer to adjourn, 2nd by Kenneth Stojanik, motion carried.
