Meeting Minutes 8/28/25

City of Ellinger Minutes from the meeting of the City of Ellinger held on August 28, 2025.

            Attendance:                Mayor Matt Mikulenka

Commissioner Cullen Weishuhn

Commissioner Kenny Stojanik

            1 visitor in attendance.

1.      Meeting was called to order by Mayor Matt Mikulenka at 6:00 pm at the City of Ellinger City Hall.

2.      Pledge of Allegiance was recited to the United States Flag and to the Texas Flag.

3.      Invocation was presented by Matt Mikulenka.

4.      Public Comment: Motion was made by Matt Mikulenka to open public comment.  Motion was 2^nd by Kenny Stojanik.  No Public Comment

5.      Minutes from the previous meeting were read by Cullen Weishuhn.  Motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Matt Mikulenka, motion was 2^nd by Kenny Stojanik.

6.      Treasurer’s report was recited by Kenny Stojanik. Motion to accept the report and pay all bills was made by Matt Mikulenka, motion was 2^nd by Cullen Weishuhn.

7.      Old Business:

a.       No old business

8.      NEW Business:

a.       Discussion was had about a local citizen wanting to use an existing city alley for the benefit of their business. It was decided that the city will reach out to their legal counsel for guidance on the matter and will discuss further next meeting.

b.      Discussion was had on agreement with Fayette County 911 address updates. Motion was made by Matt Mikulenka to accept address updates. Motion was 2^nd by Kenny Stojanik.

c.       Discussion was had on whether to consider and take action on reimbursing Fayette county animal shelter for the cost of housing animals picked up in the City of Ellinger in 2024. Motion was made by Matt Mikulenka to make a donation to the Shelter for housing said animals. Motion was 2^nd by Cullen Weishuhn

d.      Review and approve ACH transfer for Bluebonnet and Colorado Valley Communications. Motion was made by Cullen Weishuhn to approve ACH Transfers for both entities. Motion was 2^nd by Kenny Stojanik.

e.       Motion by Matt Mikulenka to adjourn the meeting.  Motion was 2nd by Kenny Stojanik, motion carried.

f.       Next meeting Scheduled for September 25, 2025
