Meeting Minutes 3/27/25

     City of Ellinger Minutes from the meeting of the City of Ellinger held on March 27th, 2025.

            Attendance:                Mayor Matt Mikulenka

Commissioner Cullen Weishuhn

Commissioner Kenny Stojanik

            0 visitors in attendance.

1.      Meeting was called to order by Mayor Matt Mikulenka at 6:00 pm at the City of Ellinger City Hall.

2.      Pledge of Allegiance was recited to the United States Flag and to the Texas Flag.

3.      Invocation was presented by Mayor Matt Mikulenka.

4.      Public Hearing: Motion was made by Mayor Matt Mikulenka to open public hearing for proposed easement abandonment within Friemel Property. Motion was 2nd by Kenny Stojanik. Motion was made by Mayor Matt Mikulenka to close public comment, motion was 2nd by Commissioner Weishuhn.

5.      Motion was made by Mayor Matt Mikulenka to open public discussion, Motion was 2nd by Kenny Stojanik.  Discussion was had on observed recent earthwork on a particular lot in town.  It was decided to present a copy of the manufactured home ordinance to the lot owner.

6.      Minutes from the previous meeting were read by Commissioner Weishuhn.  Motion to accept the minutes was made by Mayor Mikulenka, motion was 2nd by Commissioner Stojanik.

7.      Treasurer’s report was recited by Commissioner Stojanik. Motion to accept the report was made by Matt Mikulenka motion was 2nd by Commissioner Weishuhn.

8.      Old Business:

a.       No old business

9.      NEW Business:

a.        Proposed Resolution #33 was presented to the council regarding the abandonment of a portion of the streets and alleys lying within Russell Friemel’s and Ardie  Holsinger’s property within the city limits.  Motion was made by Commissioner Weishuhn to approve said resolution, motion was 2nd by Commissioner Stojanik.

b.      An agreement was reviewed regarding the abandonment of a portion of the streets and alleys lying within Russell Friemel’s and Ardie  Holsinger’s property within the city limits.  Motion was made by Commissioner Weishuhn to abandon said streets and alleys in conjunction with the recently approved resolution. Motion seconded by Commissioner Stojanik.

c.       Motion was made by Commissioner Weishuhn to approve payment to S-CO Incorporated on second invoice for CDV23-016. Motion was 2nd by Commissioner Stojanik.

d.      Consider and take action on bid for mowing services from Hess Services. Motion was made by Mayor Mikulenka to accept said services. Motion was accepted by Commissioner Weishuhn.

e.       Motion by Mayor Mikulenka to adjourn, 2nd by Commissioner Stojanik, motion carried.
