City of Ellinger Minutes from the meeting of the City of Ellinger held on April 23, 2026.
Attendance: Mayor Matt Mikulenka
Commissioner Kenny Stojanik Commissioner Cullen Weishuhn
0 citizens were in attendance.
1. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Matt Mikulenka at 6:00 pm at the City of Ellinger City Hall.
2. Pledge of Allegiance was recited to the United States Flag and to the Texas Flag.
3. Invocation was presented by Mayor Matt Mikulenka.
4. Public Comment: No Public Comment
5. Minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed. Motion to accept the minutes as read were made by Matt Mikulenka motion was 2nd by Kenny Stojanik.
6. Treasurer’s report was recited by Kenny Stojanik. Motion to accept the report and pay all bills was made by Mayor Matt Mikulenka motion was 2nd by Kenny Stojanik.
7. Old Business:
a. None
8. NEW Business:
a. Motion made by Mayor Mikulenka to accept all bids for MIT MOD, E988 generator for water well. Motion was 2nd by Commissioner Stojanik.
i. The bids were read aloud by James Weishuhn from Weishuhn Engineering Inc. Motion was made by Commissioner Weishuhn to further evaluate the bids and award at a later date. Motion was 2nd by Mayor Mikulenka.
b. Motion was made by Mayor Mikulenka to draft a letter in support for procuring a grant for the courthouse restoration. Motion was 2nd by Commissioner Stojanik.
c. Motion was made by Mayor Mikulenka to accept all RFQ’s for administration and engineering services for the TWDB grant on behalf of the Ellinger Sewer and Water Corporation in 2026. There were two (2) RFQ’s for administration services and four (4) RFQ’s for engineering services. Motion to accept all RFQ’s was 2nd by Commissioner Weishuhn.
i. Motion was then made by Mayor Mikulenka to set a special meeting next week Thursday, April 30th to evaluate and award for these services. Motion was 2nd by Commissioner Weishuhn.
d. Motion was made by Mayor Mikulenka to table a review of architect bids to a later date. Motion was 2nd by Cullen Weishuhn
e. Discussion was continued on a welcome sign for Ellinger. Motion was made Commissioner Weishuhn to set a budget and start looking at design options.
Motion was made by Mayor Mikulenka to adjourn the meeting. Motion 2nd by Commissioner Stojanik.
